Don’t worry, Yin. This is my tips from practitioner viewpoint. In academic level, some tips on how to optimize SCM performance could appear implicit. Anyway, if you remember about VMI, vendors manage their customer inventory. Also, in CPFR, collaboration happened with sharing information such as customer inventory data. In summary, customer inventory data could help much in SCM optimization.
