Happy New Year 2013 from Bandung Indonesia. Wish you have a wonderful year ahead. Below are pictures of fireworks above my house. A little bit rainy here but there were no reason to hold fireworks.
Bandung
I had lunch at Origin House & Kitchen Restaurant Bandung which located at Jalan Sumatra No.21 Bandung. This restaurant had an open space concept to make cool air of Bandung flows inside. Nothing special when my Ice Lemon Tea come. As you can see, it is just lemon and tea (no wonder they called it lemon tea). However, I like their coasted which have nice cutting pattern. For meal, I ordered Salmon Spaghetti and Fettucini Carbonara. Tasted delicious but the portion was small as you can see in below picture. I don’t know whether its plate is too big or my hunger level is too high. Anyway, I like the restaurant concept with its unique furniture. Quite recommended when you visited Bandung city to spend time during lunch or dinner.
This week topic is Weekly Photo Challenge: Geometry. I have been to Kampoeng Strawberry Bungalow and Restaurant at Ciwidey Bandung. I took picture of their stairs in front of the lobby. From this picture, we can see a nice repetition shapes and rhythms which is coming from stairs, pillars, and roof. Additional two strawberry statues give a nice taste on the building structure. Actually, this stairs is quite busy. Therefore, I have to wait until nobody use this stair before I shot it.
For you who want to go to Kampoeng Strawberry, I have shot their poster for more information about them. This place is about one and half hour driving from Bandung City. I can say this is a quite nice place to spend time with family during weekend. Cheers.

This week topic is Weekly Photo Challenge: Everyday Life. My photos are about meadow worship from my church. People were singing, praying, and stretching. This meadow worship is an annual field service from GPIB Maranatha Bandung. Meadow worship is not held every day. But, we can sing for joy every day. We pray to thank God for His blessing every day. We also do stretching after work every day tired. I wish we are singing, praying, and stretching in our everyday life.
This week topic is Weekly Photo Challenge: Near and Far. We are going to play with perspective. I copy paste the definition from the instruction, so I won’t forget. 🙂 “Perspective is what makes a flat two-dimensional image, such as a photograph, appear like it is three-dimensional. To create this effect, you can use features like diagonal lines, which converge within the frame and literally suck in the viewer.”
In my photo, I shoot my church’s tower from below. My church name is GPIB Maranatha Bandung. This church’s building is quite vintage or retro. Is it a correct word to explain? Well, one of the interesting part in this church is its bell tower. In this picture, we can see the name of church, the bell tower, and the cross at top of the tower. Near and Far. 🙂
