Water Droplet Without Flash

This is water droplet photo. I took it without flash. I utilize sun available light. Set the camera shutter speed high and the ISO high, then water droplet will freeze.

I got new gadget 🙂 This is Blackberry Porsche Design P’9981. I shoot it before I use it. The design is so exclusive as well as the price. Herewith the spec: Dispay: 2.8” active area, VGA 640 × 480 resolution, Camera: 5 MP, HD Video recording (720p), 4X Digital Zoom, Flash, Memory: 768MB RAM and 8 GB eMMC, Additional 16GB micro SD included in box, GSM Talk Time: min 5.5 h, GSM Standby Time: min 8.9 d. Really nice technical specification. For details spec, you can visit this website. This mobile phone is using Blackberry Battery Pack JM1 which is as same as BlackBerry Bold 9900 Dakota. Since I use BB Dakota for my second phone, I could have the same backup battery pack.

This is picture of water droplet using Speedlite 580 EXII and blue gel. This time I use different timing to catch both water droplet and its spark. The pattern is quite interesting and different than previous attempt.

This week topic is Weekly Photo Challenge: Sun which is my second attempt to participate. In this picture I provide double sun. The first is sun flower. The second is available light from sun. Because of available light from sun, we can clearly see that small green cricket is standing on the top of sun flower. 🙂

Water Droplet using Flash and Blue Gel

This is water droplet photo. This time I used Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash for Canon EOS Digital SLR Cameras and blue gel. Since I used flash, I can use ISO 100 to minimize grain noise on the picture. Looking at the result, I think I prefer to use flash and blue gel for water droplet photo. In this photo, I put my camera level higher than the water. Next shoot, I will try to put my camera on the same level with the water.
